Assuming you have a twelve channel radio that has a 5 watt transmitter, commonly a walkie talkie fits this use.  If you have a higher power radio, typically a mobile or base station, then you can't program in ANY FRS channels.  FRS 1-7 are shared with GMRS with a max of 5 watt transmitter.

01 462.675-R 141.3 encode/decode Normal Rptr Channel; can't hear other groups
02 462.675-R 141.3 encode only Monitor Repeater; hear all users/groups, listen here before transmitting to insure repeater is clear
03 462.675-S 141.3 encode only Simplex or Talk-Around on Rptr output
04 462.725 107.2 encode/decode Simplex on "725" rptr, your private channel
05 462.725 107.2 encode only Simplex on "725" rptr, private channel but monitor the channel for other users
